Abstract

Simply and directly, we have exploited technology in the current era and collected the hotels available in
Jordan on a website, and what you have to do is choose the hotel you want and book through our website
with ease.
Chapter 1
INTRODUCTION
1.1 BACKGROUND
Lodgings BOOKING is a traveler office that gives the offices to booking inns, Events, Travels, houses,
occasion condos, and other Facilities' for clients. They work their business in Jordan. Any clients need to book
lodging or loft they have to visit their office which for checking the accessibility just as arrangement. As of late,
they have chosen to change their booking design from manual to an electronic framework. It will assist them in
dealing with the client's booking effectively and furthermore to keep the client's information more secure. It will
likewise help staffs to monitor their client's on the web booking demand just as simple to answer input to the
cust.

1.2 Overview of the current Information system


We have developed and built a website that browses all hotels in Jordan and can be booked through our site
from the hotel and the number of rooms and other services

1.3 Problems Definition


As Hotels BOOKING is having a manual booking system, they are facing some problems issuing booking
requests of customers. All the necessary booking stuff is being done in hard copy. So it becomes much difficult
for staff to keep the records updated all the time. As for example, if the customers need to change the check-in
date it becomes difficult for them to find out the customers booking details for updating as there are so many
customers booking records. Again, regarding the current system customers cannot give feedback online, and
also staff cannot reply to them promptly. Besides tourists from other ‫ ـ‬Jordan need to call directly for booking
purposes. So they cannot get the chance to view their apartment rooms or hotel rooms before they make a book.

1.4 Objectives Of the new Information System.


1 Keeping user satisfaction as at most priority.
2 Scheduling the allotment of user with room to make it convenient for user.
3 Keeping records of user registration details accurately arranged order so that the treatment of

5 Keeping details about the users, their needs and payment detail reports etc.
6 Keeping the best hotel facilities.
7 Give the user choices from the cheapest rooms between the hotels.
8 Keep the user connected by the hotel to receive the confirmation.
9 Send the confirmation letter to the user about his bill and date.

1.5 Feasibility Study


A feasibility study assesses the operational, technical and economic merits of the proposed project. There are
three types of feasibility :

✔ Operational feasibility.
1.6 Technical FS
assesses whether the current technical resources are sufficient for the new system. If they are not available , can
they be upgraded to provide the level of technology necessary for the system ?

1.7 Economic FS
determines whether the time and money are available to develop the system, Includes the purchase of

✔ Hardware.
✔ Software.

1.8 Operational FS
determines if the human resources are available to operate the system once it has been installed , Users that do
not want a new system may prevent it from becoming operationally feasible.
