A flexible and reliable tool to meet waste handling requirements.
Vilvoorde, April 2018 — At Intermat 2018, Komatsu Europe will showcase a WA380‐8 fully
configured for Waste & Recycling work. The WA380‐8 wheel loader, is a versatile performer with an
EU Stage IV engine and fuel consumption up to 8 % lower than the WA380‐7. It offers an outstanding
combination of stability, breakout power and tractive effort and is perfect for any moving, transport
or loading job. Available attachments extend the machine’s versatility to waste handling or quarry
applications.
The waste management industry places huge demands on machines. Renowned for its high quality
standards and reliability, Komatsu provides a wide range of factory‐fitted options to adapt our wheel
loaders to the specific requirements of waste handling applications. These various options are well
tested and proven to protect a machine against damage and unexpected downtime.
“The Komatsu WA380‐8 is an ideal tool for these challenging applications and environments” says
Henrik Flohr, Senior Product Manager at Komatsu Europe. “Its market‐best stability, combined with a
40° articulation angle to either side, allows the WA380‐8 to easily handle many attachments within a
confined environment.”
Very comfortable, the machine is controlled by a Multifunction Lever with integrated 3rd or 4th
hydraulic line controls.
With its standard loading frame, the WA380‐8 features an impressive dumping clearance, which can
be further extended with either a High‐Lift or a Super High‐Lift loading frame. These are unique
solutions to the increased loading heights of current trailers.
The exhaust gas aftertreatment system features a Komatsu Diesel Particle Filter (KDPF) combined with
a Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) system. The combination provides an unbeatable passive
regeneration level, which means no interruption to work, and generates very low exhaust gas heat
levels which can make the WA380‐8 an ideal choice for working in fire‐hazardous environments.
KOMTRAX telematics and Komatsu CARE, a Komatsu maintenance program for customers, offer top
fleet management and support, protect the machine against misuse and guarantee maximum
