Ans. When they reached the island, his companions went off to gather
fruits and flowers but Sindbad ate and slept in the shade. When he woke
up he found his ship had sailed away and his companions were gone.

Ans. The roc was a huge and wonderful bird. Its leg was as big as a tree
and its egg was as big as a dome.

Ans. Sindbad tied himself to the leg of the roc with his turban. He flew
with the bird and landed in the valley.

Ans. He spent the night in a small cave. He put a large stone at the
entrance to protect himself from serpents.

Ans. As soon as daylight dawned, Sindbad came out of his cave and ate
some food and slept.
7. How did Sindbad manage to get out of the valley?
Ans. Sindbad tied a chunk of meat to his back. An eagle picked the meat
along with him and got him out of the valley.
8. How did the merchants help Sindbad get back home?
Ans. The merchants took him to their camp and next day, Sindbad went
with them on the long journey back to their home.
