From the Managing Director
As we all know, this is an election
year. A very crucial election year at
that. Though I do not want to make
this political, I do want to stress the
importance of this election — the
importance of this election for the
pro-life movement. We are truly at a
defining moment in our nation- a time
that will go down in history. We are
on the brink of something amazing…or something
tragic.
Certain areas of our country have seen
more advances towards pro-life, more
value towards human life that any time
I can remember. But we have also seen
more heinous laws allowing the most
vulnerable to be brutally harmed and
discarded. Somewhere along the way,
life has been devalued. Sacred life,
life created in the image of God, has

Now, more than ever, Christians need to

stand united. We can say we are pro-life, but we

When you vote pro-life, you are voting for one
of our fundamental rights set before us at the
conception of this very nation: the right to life.
I often hear, one vote does not matter; one vote
cannot change anything. And honestly, I used to
say the same things. But the
thing is, if we all say our
vote does not matter
than we are correct.
However, if we all
stand up and say my
vote does matter,
we truly could make
a difference for the
unborn.
We all have a role
in the pro-life movement.
We all have different roles-
some of us are called to be on the
front lines, some are called to be donors, some
are prayer warriors. The role you serve in is
just as important as the role of the next person.
What matters is that the role you play is taken
seriously, that you perform that role to the ability
God has given you. All of our roles matter and we
need each role to fulfill the purpose set before
us. Though our roles are different, we all can and
need to be a voice. Together we can change the
world- one family at a time.

From the Client Service Director
Recently a friend texted me to ask for
prayer. Her son was not talking to her.
There was no explanation. He gave no
reason. She had wracked her brain trying
to think of a reason for this cessation of
relationship. My friend is heartbroken.
She loves her child with everything that is
in her, and she still has no answer.
Unfortunately, my friend’s situation is
not unique. I can think of several similar
circumstances among family and friends.
I can also see how a spirit of division is
splitting apart our country, nations, the
races, churches, and political parties. As
part of the pro-life movement, we have
long been aware of the breech that can
occur when we disagree with someone
else’s opinion. How do we handle these
differences?
Our first step must be prayer,
submitting ourselves to God and his
sovereign will in our lives.
The second must be the Word of God.
The truth is always found in His Word.
It is not an opinion. It is absolute. It is
not a club to be used to beat others into
agreement. It is a basis on which to stand.
Using prayer and God’s Word, we must
identify the enemy. We can all be caught
in the snare of the evil one. The battle is a
spiritual one. While the truth cannot be
compromised it must be spoken in love.
It must be spoken in a language that will
reach the hearer.
At Lifeline we pray for and with our
clients, volunteers, and staff daily: we
use curriculum that is based on godly
principles: and we listen to the needs of
our clients to reach
them where they are.
During these days
of health concerns,
racial turmoil, political upheaval,
financial instability, and an abundance
of untrue information, please know that
Lifeline stands firm in its’ commitment to
honoring God and honoring life. While it
may not be business a usual, we are still
about the Lord’s business. Your continued
prayer and support are invaluable to us.

Lifeline Gets A
Needed Facelift
After many years of giving people directions by using the phrase
“you know, the green building on the corner of Union and Race St, right
by Mid Penn Bank,” those directions no longer apply. In August we were
blessed to have the building painted. Now instead of a faded, aged green,
we now have a warm gray with new black shutters.

Following the
interior upgrades
that we were able
to complete last fall
and now the new
look outside, we
are truly defining
our place as a place
of welcome and
comfort.
