Watch as the dawn breaks through       

The misty morning light

Unfolding gently within its soft caress
The dew suspends itself
On unsuspecting leaves
Like a tender touch, a close and caring sense
 
The slowly rising day             
Parts from the muted night
Awakening life itself from innocent dreams
Emerging softened light
Shrouded in the mist
Holds a sun that warms, invites and heals
 
And as the day begins new life      
I feel a love that’s swelling in me now
From deep inside
Then as warm rain touches my face
I sigh and kiss the rain
Before the beauty fades

Touches all it perceives
Releasing movement on the earth here below
Till songbirds in the trees
Open folded wings
Like petals rising up on the breeze
