As Archaeologists find an ancient stone pool outside Rome, but don't know what it was for. I
think that was like a dam of those times. I have read in many books that in the stone age people
don’t have enough clean water resources which they can use for drinking purpose. I think this
pool was built to store the rain water in order to use that water for daily life uses. Another
Opinion is that the people of that time may aware of swimming and use this pool for the sports
purpose. But most of intention is toward the first opinion that pool was an old dam used as a
storage tank to save rain water. As the pool, with its sides made of large stone blocks and dating
from the fourth century BC, is more than 150ft. long and 40ft. wide, about the size of the
Olympic swimming pool. So this may help the view that this was used for purpose of sports.
