OBJECTIVE(S):  
By the end of the lesson, pupils will be able to:
1. Main: recognise at least 6 letters correctly by listening and writing the correct
phonemes.
2. Complementary: sound out at least 3 phonemes correctly w.g.

ACTIVITIES:
PRE-LESSON
1. Morning routine for transition programme. (name, rules etc)
2. Follow the dots task (penmanship) from the module.

LESSON DELIVERY
3. Phonics song with gestures.
4. Pupils listen to the sounds s, a, t, p and watch and do the gestures.
5. Pupils are guided to listen and say out the words.
6. Pupils listen to the sounds and fill in the blanks with the correct phonemes.

POST LESSON
7. Matching activity.

ASSESSMENT: Choose an item.

IMPACT:  
The phonics lesson will be continued tomorrow as the transition programme takes quite a long time as today
is their first day at school, which the pupils need some adjustment to familiar with the school system.
Thus, all of them were able to complete the tracing activity neatly.

By the end of the lesson, pupils will be able to:
1. Name the type of the book correctly w.g.

ACTIVITIES:
PRE-LESSON
1. Pupils share whether they like to read or not.

LESSON DELIVERY
2. Group/choral reading.
3. Pupils then find the meaning of each type of the book using dictionary.
4. Group task: pupils match each pictures of book with the type of the book.

POST LESSON
5. Pupils share their favourite book/storybook.

IMPACT:  

15/21 achieved the LO.

IMPACT:
22/22 achieve the LO.
The group representatives were given chance to present in front of the class. They were brave and highly
motivated.
