Rwanda, the land of 1000 hills and the place
where Mary frequently visited some high school
students between 1981 and 1989. She taught
them many things, including The Seven
Sorrows Rosary. She asked them to help spread
the word about this special Rosary.
Seven Graces
With the recitation of the Seven Sorrows
SEVEN SORROWS ROSARY
A SPECIAL PRAYER TO BLESS ALL
Rosary, the hardest hearts will be changed, if
you pray it for yourself or for others.
By the recitation of the Seven Sorrows
Rosary, you shall be freed from obsessions
and addictions.
This rosary, when said from the heart, will
win us true repentance of our sins and free
our souls from guilt and remorse.
Those who say it often, especially on
Tuesdays and Fridays, shall obtain clear
understanding of their weaknesses and flaws
causing them to sin and those things we don’t
like about ourselves and thought were a part
of our character shall change.

As promised to St.Bridget of Sweden
The Blessed Virgin grants seven graces to the souls
who honor Her by praying this rosary.
I will grant peace to their families.
They will be enlightened about the Divine
Mysteries.
I will console them in their pains and I will
accompany them in their work.
I will give them as much as they ask for as long as
it does not oppose the adorable will of my Divine
Son or the sanctification of their souls.
I will defend them in their spiritual battles with the
infernal enemy and I will protect them at every
instant of their lives.
I will visibly help them at the moment of their death
- they will see the face of their Mother.
I have obtained this grace from my Divine Son, that
those who propagate this devotion to my tears and
Sorrows will be taken directly from this earthly life
to eternal happiness, since all their sins will be
forgiven and my Son will be their eternal
consolation and joy.
You shall obtain whatever you ask for
through this rosary, praying this rosary from
the heart.

Sanctuary in Kibeho, Rwanda
†HISTORY¢
The Rosary of the Seven Sorrows dates back to
the Middle Ages, but it is gaining popularity
following the Marian apparitions in Kibeho,
Rwanda. The apparitions were approved by the
Catholic Church in 2001. During Mary's
apparitions to Marie-Claire Mukangango, she
assigned the young visionary a mission to
reintroduce this special rosary to the world.
Before her untimely death, Marie-Claire did just
that, traveling widely to teach it to thousands of
people, who then taught it to thousands of others.
The Rosary of the Seven Sorrows contains all the
power you need to change your life for the better,
obtain peace and happiness, realize your true
potential, fulfill your dreams, and grow closer to
God’s light.
Mary asked all of us, (not just Catholics) to pray
the rosary regularly.

Preparation: set aside the cares, thoughts and
worries of the day to focus exclusively on these
meditations. It’s hard to not be distracted as you
pray, but keeping your focus on the 7 sorrows of
Mary as seen, felt and experienced through Her
eyes will be such a blessing for you.

Introductory Prayer
My God, I offer you this Rosary for your Glory,
so that I can honor your Holy Mother, the Blessed
Virgin, so I can share and meditate upon her
suffering. I humbly beg you to give me true
repentance for my sins. Give me wisdom and
humility so that I may receive all the indulgences
contained in this prayer.
Act of Contrition
Oh my God, I am heartily sorry for having
offended You, and I detest all my sins, because I
dread the loss of heaven and the pains of hell, but
most of all because they offend You, my God, You
who are all good and deserving of all my love.   I
firmly resolve, with the help of Your grace to
confess my sins, to do penance, and to amend my
life.  Amen.
Hail Mary full of grace, the Lord is with thee, blessed
are thou among women and blessed is the fruit of thy
womb Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us
sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen. 3x
MARY’S 1ST SORROW
The Prophecy of Simeon (Luke 2:22-35)
Simeon held the infant Jesus in his arms and
immediately knew this was the Messiah and would be
the rise and fall of many. He told Mary that a sword of
sorrow would pierce Mary’s heart as She walked Jesus’
life journey with Him.
Our Father who are in heaven, hallowed be thy name, thy
kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in
heaven. Give us this day our daily bread and forgive us
our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us
and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.

MARY’S 2ND SORROW
The flight into Egypt (Matthew 2:13-15)
The angel awakened Joseph telling him that they
should immediately flee to Egypt as Herod’s soldiers
were seeking Jesus to kill him. The 300 mile journey by
donkey left Mary trying to keep Jesus warm in the cold
winter air.

MARY’S 3RD SORROW
The Child Jesus Lost, but found in the Temple,
(Luke 2:41-52)
After looking for Jesus for three long days in sorrow,
They found Him in the temple. Jesus’ reply “Didn’t you
know I had to be in My Father’s house”.

MARY’S 4TH SORROW
Mary meets Jesus carrying the cross (Luke 23:27-31)
Mary sees Her beaten and bloodied Son dragging the
crossed weighted down by the sins of humanity and the
cross on His shoulders. Their eyes meet as He tries to
get to His feet after He had fallen.

MARY’S 5TH SORROW
Mary at the foot of the cross (John 19:25-27)
Mary endures watching the soldiers strip Jesus
naked, nail Him to the cross and intentionally jerk
the cross as they raised it, ensuring it would tear His
flesh and expose His bone. Mary’s Son was innocent
and did this for us.

MARY’S 6TH SORROW
Mary receives the body of Jesus (John 19:41-42)
Bathing her Son, She sees the depth of His injuries.
The deep wounds of the beatings that ripped through
His skin to His bones. She is horrified to see that the
skull into His brain.

Most merciful Mother, remind us always about the
Sorrows of your Son, Jesus.
MARY’S 7TH SORROW
Mary witnesses the burial of Jesus (John 19:41-42)
His body was prepared for burial and placed in the
tomb. Mary went home with great pain and
tremendous sorrow, but confident that Her Son
would be resurrected as promised.

CLOSING
Queen of Martyrs, your heart suffered so much.  I beg
You by the merits of the tears You shed in these terrible
and sorrowful times, to obtain for me and all the sinners
of the world, the grace of complete sincerity and
repentance.  Amen.
Mary, who was conceived without sin and who suffered
