 Šiauliai International Airport is located 7 kilometers southeast of the city of Šiauliai, in


northern Lithuania.
 It covers an area of 471 hectares.
 It has the longest runway in the Baltic states. Its 3500 meters length and 45 meters width.
 Operation hours – 24 hours per day, 7 days per week.
 This airport has no noise restrictions.

 Šiauliai airport serves as military and civil airport, and is open for any types of
passenger/cargo aircraft.
 Because of specially trained professional staff and equipment, it can handle a wide range
of cargo from standard to oversized, high value and military cargo.
 Siauliai Airport has a passenger terminal based on the Schengen requirements, which
mainly serve aircraft crews and passengers. Up to 160 passengers can be serviced at a
time. The company organizes all ground handling services for passengers, other
passenger services available are: border checkpoint, customs post.

 It consists of a headquarters, air operation group and operational support group.
 The base operates various fixed wing and rotary blade aircraft.[2]
 The staff, aircraft and equipment of the Air Base has participated in many international
training missions abroad and at home

• Passenger, cargo and VIP transport.

• To support the Lithuanian Land and Naval Forces.
• Air base personnel combat readiness training.
