Executive Summary of Project
Project Embedded (acronym PED) is an
initiative started by AIESEC in NUS since
2008, to increase the awareness of social
entrepreneurship as an alternative to the
conventional entrepreneurship amongst
youth in Singapore. By doing so, PED aims
to equip youth with the know-how and
empower them to be future social
entrepreneurs.

This project is in alignment with the MCYS

Social Enterprise Committee's objective to
grow vibrant local social enterprises by
encouraging active youth participation in
social entrepreneurial activities, thereby
spreading the movement.

Working closely with NUS Centre of Social

Entrepreneurship and Philanthropy (CSEP)
and other successful social entrepreneurs
in the field, members from AIESEC in NUS
have reached out to more than 1000
youths through the events and workshops
held annually.

Vision

We envision a world where all

businesses are social entrepreneurial.

PBoX Objectives

• Raise awareness and genuine

concerns over social issues in the
local and global contexts
• Educate and dispel the myths that
surrounds the business models
of social enterprises
• Activate youth leadership,
entrepreneurship and
volunteerism in local and overseas
social enterprises
