COMMENTS ON NAVIGATION:

WEATHER FORECAST: Is followed carefully during voyage and anchorage thru SPOS, Navtex
and SAT – C weather bulletins by all Navigation officers and Master.
NAVIGATIONAL WARNINGS: Please consult daily received EGC / NAVTEX messages.
UNDER KEEL CLEARANCE (UKC):
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS ALONGSIDE: 0,30 m or allowance for 1deg list, whichever is
greater.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS IN RESTRICTED WATERS: 0,90 m or allowance for 3 deg list,
whichever is greater.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS AT DEEP SEA: 50% of the vessels maximum draft or 3,5 m,
whichever is greater.
POSITION FIXING METHOD:
OPEN SEA NAVIGATION: RADAR, GPS, DR and CELESTIAL.
COASTAL NAVIGATION: VISUAL, RADAR and GPS.
HARBOUR NAVIGATION: VISUAL and RADAR.
Position fixing methods are marked in the charts for each leg.
PARALLEL INDEX LINES:
Information about index-lines can be found in the charts where appropriate. Please use the
PI lines for reference on the radars.
CONTINGENCY ANCHORAGE:
Suggestions to possible contingency anchorage areas are shown in the charts where
appropriate.
ABORT LINES:
Abort lines are shown in the appropriate charts, with respect to the vessels cargo condition
(loaded / ballast).
MAXIMUM SPEED:
Changes of machinery status in confined waters / port approaches according to Master's
advice marked in the charts. End of sea passage and start of sea passage equals with change
of machinery.
VESSEL'S STABILITY:
According to Loadmaster Conditions on the Bridge.
ANTI PIRACY:
The vessel’s trading area is a low risk piracy area therefore SECURITY LEVEL 1 is always
maintained.

Special attention to Master's Orders. Follow Company & Master Standing Orders. Monitor
vessel's movements and UKC; Reporting points and PI used on the route included in ECDIS
map Antwerp West Route - Immingham via rigs, T&P Not included in AIO,Oil Rigs North,
NAVAREA I
