At the time of this affidavit, the undersigned has confirmed that approximately 406 victims were transported to local hospitals suffering from gunshot wounds and injuries related fo this mass shooting attack, Additionally, 51 victims have been confirmed deceased as the result of this mass shooting attack, Citizens and officers in the area were able to determine the shots were being fired from the 32nd floor of the Mandalay Bay Hotel, 3950 South Las Vegas Boulevard. LVMPD police officers were able to identify the shots were being fired from rooms 32/134 and 32/135 down onto the ground level concert- goers, which numbered approximately 30,000 persons. Tactical entry was made into the room in order to preserve life under exigent circumstances and law enforcement iocated a deceased male with an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound, The male was identified by way of his Driver’s License, that was found in the room, as Stephen Paddock DOB 04/09/1953, with an address of 1372 Babbling Brook Ct, Mesquite, NV 89034. It was reported that several subjects were shot and that an active shooter situation was underway, A massive law enforcement response included a tactical response by LVMPD SWAT and other supporting units, Information was learned that a potential suspect was firing a weapon from an elevated position on the 32% floor of the Mandalay Bay Hotel into the crowd of people attending the music festival and uniformed officers working the event, SWAT officers arrived an the 32 floor and pin pointed the shooters location to be in room 32 135, As SWAT officers breached room 135, they observed Stephen Paddock place a gun to his head and fire one round, They also observed numerous weapons including but not limited to handguns and rifles as well as electronic storage devices. A surveillance request was initiated by Mesquite PD at approximately 2330 hs. The house was locked down with no apparent movement in or out of the residence. ‘An emergency administrative subpoena was requested from Virgin Valley Water Distict which confirmed water service at the 1372 Babbling Brook Ct, Mesquite, NV to be a customer named Stephen Paddock.
