Patrick Bet­David was born in Iran in the 1970’s.

He experienced war and difficulty as a child.

He and his mother left Iran in the 1980’s.

They lived in a German refugee camp for two years.

When Patrick was 12 they moved to the USA.

He did not do well in school.

After high school Patrick joined the military.

He spent several years in the army.

When he left the military Patrick worked at many

places but had difficulty finding a good job.

Then Patrick applied for a job at Morgan Stanley.

Patrick included a joke in his CV.

This joke made the manager laugh.

The manager thought, “If this man can make me laugh in his CV I think I would like to meet him.”

Patrick met the manager at the interview

and got the job

He received promotions in the company.
Patrick, however, was not content.

He continued to look for contentment.

He felt that something was missing in his life.

Finally Patrick started a company in 2009.

This company is called People Helping People

(PHP).

PHP focuses on helping people escape debt

through financial education.

It is described as a “movement” which has

helped many people.

Patrick hopes that PHP will help many more people.

His vision is to help repay America for all the good it has done for him and his family.
