1. What is Catheterization?

- The action or process of inserting a catheter into the body cavity (into the bladder,
trachea, or heart)

2. What are the types of catheterization?


- Cardiac catheterization – is performed to find out if you have disease of the heart
muscles, valves or coronary (heart arteries) or just examine how well your heart is
working.
- Urinary catheterization – is the process to drain and collect urine from the bladder.
