Who needs to check for cervical cancer?

(This is a simple checklist that can be self-administered by women to see if they need to get themselves
checked OR can be used as a tool by parameds/ASHA workers in PHC/CHC’s to filter out and guide
women towards screening)

Form of inputs: Take away leaflet; Case paper supplement sheet; Hospital/OPD poster

Checklist:

In women between 30-65 year of age, check for any of the following -

 Early marriage (Corresponding to - Sexually active at younger age ~18)


 Multiple marriages (Corresponding to multiple sexual partners)
 Use of Contraceptive pills for 5 or more years
 Having given birth to three or more children.
 Active or passive smoking
 Immunocompromised status

All above factors increase your risk for developing Cervical cancer and presence of any of these means
you should get screened for cervical cancer at your nearest PHC/CHC. Talk to your doctor for more
information.
