HYPOALBUMINEMIA

Hypoalbuminemia is a deficit of
albumin in the blood
There are many causes of low serum
albumin levels. These causes may
include:
1. Poor nutritional state
2.Increased excretion (or loss) of
albumin from your body
SARCOMA
A cancer that arises from cells that
do not line the surface of organs or
glands. Tumors of this type arise
from muscle, tendon, ligaments,
cartilage or fat.
AMYLOIDOSIS

Amyloidosis is a rare and potentially fatal

disease that occurs when substances
called amyloid proteins build up in your
organs.
How Tumor Relates to
Hypoalbuminemia
• Tumor in the liver affect the syntesis of
albumin by the hepatocyte cell

• Hypoalbuminemia results from direct losses

of albumin from tissue damage

• Tumor in kidneys affect the filtration

process
There are 2 ways in which
albumin that is produced in the
liver enters the vascular system:

• via hepatic lymphatic vessels

• directly into the blood vessels in the

liver
