A civil engineer has a fairly wide field of action, since he can work in the five main branches such as:

Geotechnical Engineer, Structural Engineer, Hydraulic Engineer, Construction Engineer and Transportation

Engineer. The civil engineer must be trained to perform functions both in the administrative area and in the

technical area of work such as the design, construction and maintenance of civil works using computerized

programs, as well as perform calculations to define the design and sections of structural elements, with specific

knowledge in construction project management and earthworks for the estimation of construction costs

performing unit price analysis.
