Present perfect simple

Use: To talk about an action that happened in the past but we don’t
specify when the action happened.

Structure: Subject + has / have + 3rd column (past participle) +


complement

Auxiliary verb:
Ø Has (She / He / It) – hasn’t (has not)
Ø Have (I / We / you / They) – haven’t (have not)

Examples:

(+) We have eaten sushi before (+) She has been to Cali before
(-) We have not eaten sushi before (-) She hasn't been to Cali before
(?) Have we eaten sushi before? (?) Has she been to Cali before?
