orang murid Tahun 2 telah dipilih sebagai peserta kajian bagi penyelidikan ini
kuantitatif dan kualitatif melalui semakan lembaran kerja, ujian pra dan pos,
dan aktiviti individu. Ia juga menambah baik amalan pedagogi guru. Kesimpulanya,
Kaedah Potong telah memberi kesan positif dalam kalangan murid tahun 2 dalam
operasi tambah.

ABSTRACT
The objective of the action research was to improve the skill of my teaching to
help pupils master the topic of subtractions with regrouping in vertical form through
Potong method. The respondents consisted of four pupils from Year 2 who got the
lowest marks for the initial diagnostic test and observation at the beginning of the
study. This Potong Method was a stage by stage teaching and learning study which
started from concrete to abstract stage. The data was for this research was
interview. Triangulation method was used to increase the reliability and validity of
data collected. The results showed that the respondent performance increased
using the Potong method. The finding indicated that the Potong method was suitable
conclusion, Potong method gives a positive effect on year 2 pupil learn to master the
topic of subtractions with regrouping in vertical form. Teachers can refine this
