Creating feedback Survey of Emerging

Food Product: Edible Microgreens
Introduction
Microgreens are immature vegetables and herbs that are of 2.5-7.6 cm in height
and are harvested at 7 to 14 days after germination depending on the species. The
seedlings with two fully developed cotyledon leaves are sold with the stem and the
attached cotyledons. They are intensely nutritional, provide vivid color, crisp
texture and intense flavor to our food.
As we know Iron deficiency is an epidemic affecting one-third of the world
population. According to researches, Microgreens can be a tool on managing and
controlling of iron deficiency. Different Microgreens provide different amount of
carotenoids and vitamins to our body. Over the past few years, Microgreens are
becoming popular as a new culinary trend in the market. Due to the drastic increase
of the trend in the market, it came to my interest to conduct a small-scale survey on
customer feedback of Microgreens.

Methodology
The data is collected by an online survey. The survey is made on Microsoft Office
Forms by compiling a list of individuals such as friends and family members. The
survey form was distributed through emails and social media platforms. The
responders of the survey are from Kathmandu, Nepal. The responder’s nationality
was accounted rather than their current location.

The attempt was of atleast 30 responses. The link to the complete questionnaires
posted on Microsoft Office Forms is posted here:
