Safety Precautions

Before using your new keyboard, please refer to the following safety information:

Your keyboard contains an integrated Lithium Ion battery. Please do not expose this

keyboard to water or other sources of moisture.

Please do not use this device while operating a motor vehicle.

This device emits high frequency RF energy which can interfere with the

instruments inside aircraft. Please do not use this device while inside an aircraft,

Please do not use this device in areas where flammable gases or fumes are

present.

Please turn the device off in areas where wireless devices may be prohibited, such

as in a hospital. Wireless devices can interfere with implanted cardiac pacemakers,

hearing aids, and other medical devices.

Interference

All wireless devices may be subject to interference, thus affecting the

performance of this product.

This device contains a class II laser pointer module. Please do not point the laser at

another person, or yourself. This laser may cause eye damage if used improperly.
Introduction

The FAVI FE01-Rii is a fully functional wireless USB keyboard and touchpad mouse

combination that easily fits inside your pocket. Available in black, silver, and pink, the

FE01-Rii is a stylish and versatile accessory. Complete with a built in laser pointer, and

compatible with any device that supports a standard USB keyboard, the FE01-Rii is a great

portable solution for presentations, gaming, HTPC control, mobile device control, lectures,

and classroom teaching. The integrated LED backlight allows for easy use in low light

situations. The touch pad can be flipped for use when the keyboard is held either vertically

like a remote control, or horizontally. 2.4g wireless technology allows for remarkable

performance from a device smaller and slimmer than many TV remote controls.

Touchpad

The touchpad can be used in a horizontal or vertical position. To switch between

horizontal or vertical mode, hold the Fn key and hit the Alt key.

Connecting the receiver

Slide the receiver out from the side of keyboard, and insert into any device with a

standard USB port. Once connected, slide the power switch to the "ON" position located

on the left side of the unit to establish the connection.


Enabling the backlight

Once the keyboard has established a connection to the receiver, the backlight will

automatically turn on for 3 seconds. The backlight will turn off after 3 seconds to preserve

battery life. To manually turn the backlight on, simply press the Backlight Switch key

specified above in the diagram.

Auto sleep and wake feature

This keyboard also features an auto sleep and auto wake mode. If there is a long period of

inactivity, the keyboard will automatically go into a sleep mode. To exit sleep mode, press

any key.

Charging the battery

This device can be charged via the included mini USB cable. Plug the cable into any

standard USB port to charge your keyboard. The charging indicator LED will turn off once

the keyboard is fully charged. It will take approximately 4 hours to fully charge.

Note: Please fully charge this unit before operating it for the first time.

This device can be used while it’s charging, but will extend the charging time;

When the battery is low, the low-voltage light will flash to warn the user. The unit will

automatically turn off if the battery has been depleted.

Laser pointer

This keyboard must be turned on to use the laser pointer. While the keyboard is on, press and

hold the laser pointer switch.

Maintenance

 Do not attempt to disassemble the device or replace the internal battery. Doing so

will void your warranty.

 If the keyboard is not used for a long period of time, the battery will lose some of

its charge. Please charge the battery before using it.

 Please use only a standard mini USB cable to charge your keyboard. USB chargers

may overcharge the internal battery, shortening its lifespan.

 Do not expose the device to extreme temperatures. Extreme temperatures will


shorten the battery’s life span.

 Use only a damp cloth with a mild detergent to clean the device. Solvents and

other cleaning agents may cause damage to the device.
