THE JUDGEMENT OF PARIS

This is one of the stories from Greek Mythology that holds many stories. At one time,
which was called the era of heroes, long ago, the time when the gods and goddesses were still
close to humans, because they felt attracted to their lives. Zeus, the king of from god-
goddesses who inhabit Mount Olympus, holding a great wedding party for a fighter
renowned name Peleus with the sea nymph pretty named Thetis. Kings and queens from all
over the country  invited to a wedding it was, along with the deities lived on Mount
Olympus. All were invited, except Eris, the goddess of discord. Eris was not invited because
in worry right Eris dissensions and quarrels in the middle of a party. Of course, things would
be very troublesome, considering it was the day in which the supposed bride and guests
present pulmonary happy and having fun. Bad idea if you have to invite the source of chaos
on a good day. It certainly Eris felt annoyed and angry because of all the gods-goddesses
were invited, while he did not. As a form of venting her frustration, Eris intends to deceive
guests who are present at the wedding. 
On the day of the party, Eris disguised herself as a maid, she brought a silver plate on
which there was a golden apple that read "For the prettiest". The plates were placed on the
table there sat the three most beautiful goddesses, they were Hera, Athene, and Aphrodite.
Hera is a goddess of marriage, Athene herself is a goddess of wisdom, strategy and goddess
of war. While Aphrodite is a goddess of love and beauty. Looking what is written in the
golden apple, a dispute broke out between the three goddesses are good-looking it.
Hera, who also is the queen of the gods, said to the two goddesses another of his, "I'm
is queen of all gods, the wife of the king your cherished, with my position, of course me more
right than you two, therefore, this golden apple is mine . "
"Oh, Majesty, Queen Hera ," Athene said to Hera, "How could I forget who you are,
but I’m is a goddess of wisdom, all there is to know, I know it well. You wrong if you say
that entitled to apples of gold that you are. Know your Honor, wisdom is beauty, and beauty
is wisdom. They are one entity , therefore it belongs to the apple is mine. "     
" O goddesses who keep talking about you who are most entitled to get this
apple,”Aphrodite spoke up, "About whom are more worthy to get an apple is, certainly that’s
me. I known as the goddess of love. Love contains a lot of beauty. Simply, among the three
of us, even in se shed earth and among the goddesses inhabitants of Mount Olympus, I’m the
prettiest, "  
 The debate between the goddess wasn’tt go over, they all three continue to insist that
each of them is entitled to get the apples of gold it, does not exist who want to budge. In fact,
until the wedding is over, bright spots are still not found. In the end, disputes among three
goddesses to determine who are entitled to on the apples of gold it, continues to take place
until many years duration. The King, Zeus, god of thunder who led the gods of Olympus
began to feel fed up with discord and quarrels which actually is not essential it.
When there was no longer a way to get the three goddesses to make up, Zeus finally
gave advice to the three goddesses to end their dispute by taking part in a beauty contest.
Three goddesses were approved suggestions given King Zeus. They decide the person who
will be the judge and make decisions in a contest of beauty is a prince of Troy, who was
known as a man that is handsome and dressed in the most fashionable in the surface of the
earth, it was he who named the Prince Paris.
They plan to meet Prince Paris when he was doing the hunting in the foot hills of
Mount Ida. In the middle of the fun of hunting, Prince Paris discovered three goddesses pretty
good-looking it was standing at the bottom of the tree. He was fascinated, for the rest of his
life, he had not ever see the beauty that made him not able to release him view of them.
Prince Paris stood silent with a stare full of admiration at the three goddesses that. Until
finally came Hermes, the winged messenger of the gods. Hermes flew towards Paris, then
said, "Greetings from me to His Majesty, Prince Paris of the Land of Troy. Arrival I was to
deliver consignment greetings of the King of the gods of Olympus, Your Majesty King Zeus.
Along with that, King Zeus has give a honor to finish disputes length among three goddesses
who currently is standing in front of you." Hermes then gave a golden apple to Paris.  
"The three goddesses that have been fighting over the apples of gold is in a time that
is sufficiently long. Now, you, Prince Paris, King Zeus was giving power full on you to give
apples of gold is the goddess of the most entitled to receive it ".
Hear anything that is said Hermes, making Prince Paris feel difficulty. Prince Paris is
someone who interested in beauty, of course not the case easy to pick one the most beautiful
among the three goddesses are good-looking this . Hera skinned white milk that has not been
he saw before, the eyes of Athene makes it attracted and fascinated , while Aphrodite, the
smile that is etched in his face is very charming. Anyone who should he choose? Seeing the
face of the Prince of Paris's confusion, Hera said to him,
"Prince Paris, if you find it difficult to determine who is the most beautiful among us,
then I will give you a guarantee that will ease your task. If you give the apple of gold was me,
I would give you gift in the form of a great power. Is not it offer that nice ? "
 Hearing Hera's words, Athene did not remain silent, "Prince of Paris, it is better to
give me the apple. What are you expecting from a to forces' ? Destroying what which
interfere in front of you ? Control the whole world ? Rather than that I will give you the gift
of great wisdom. "
Aphrodite from earlier just to listen to laugh "Oh Prince Paris, you don’t need to listen
they’re silly offer. The pleasure of what that would do you get from the strength and wisdom?
More good you give that apple to me, and I will give you something more you like. Love of
the most beautiful women in the surface of the earth , Helene. What are you going to turn it
down ? "
Bids from Aphrodite had eliminates the indecision of Prince Paris, he had know to
whom the apple of gold that must be given. Prince Paris has been in love for a long time at
Helene, daughter of Tindareus and Leda, the woman most beautiful in the face of the earth.
But his love clapped next hand, because Helene had become the wife of Menelaus, king of
Sparta. Paris knows, there will be no hope for his love. And now, an Aphrodite stood in front
of him, promising love of Helene for him, just to give Aphrodite an apple of gold that is even
not hims. How could Paris reject it? Paris finally give the apple of gold was at Aphrodite, had
certainly goddess was feeling happy. While the two goddesses more, Hera and Athene who
don’t gain anything, back to Olympus with a sense of indignation that hang in the hearts of
them. They complained in Zeus that competition it is not fair. For some reason, after hearing
complaints davit it, Zeus felt a premonition bad, will arise a problem in the race of man.
With full confidence, Paris sailing ground Sparta, a country that is led by Menelaus
who married Helene, woman idol of Paris. Paris's arrival was welcomed with open arms by
Menelaus. When they were both middle engrossed in conversation, Queen Helene emerged
from his room, indeed beauty, will lock eyes every person who glanced to her. The waiters
helped Helene sitting in front of a silver box her embroidery, before she started working on
her embroidery, Helene asked her husband about a visit to their palace " My husband, let me
guess, whether dignitaries who visited the palace we are a prince who was famous all over
the world because of his beautiful appearance and manner of dress, Prince of Paris of Troy? "
"Your guess is right, my wife, he is the Prince of Paris, " said Menelaus, Paris nodded
his head, justifying Menelaus's words .
When eating dinner, they held a party and have fun. While Menelaus drowned with
his joke with one of his generals, Paris whispered softly to Helene, " Queen Helene, the most
beautiful women around the world," he said, " Please meet me tonight in the garden under the
walls of the palace and I will bring You leave here, we will sail with my ship, then head to
Troy together. " And because of the power of love goddes, Aphrodite, Helene at once not be
able to refuse the request of Paris.
The next, King Menelaus awoke after tar separated from the influence of drink hard
that he drank last night. King Menelaus realized that Paris, prince of Troy were a welcome as
guests, had run themselves together with his wife. The king became angry, he throws and
scatter all over the furniture and then punching the walls of her room with loud.
In the presence of the gods, Menelaus vowed to repay Paris, for having dared to
take his beloved wife away.Melenaus met his brother Agamemnon at Argos. Arriving there,
Menelaus conveyed the purpose of his arrival , he asked his brother to gather all the Greek
kings and join forces. Then they will sail towards Troy, to give a lesson on Prince Paris who
had been brought away Helene, his wife. As a king wise, Agamemnon says at his brother in
order not to provoke conflict first, Agamemnon suggested they send an ambassador to ask
Queen Helena to return. He was sure, Queen Helene went not of her own free will .
Agamemnon also knew King Priam, Prince of Paris's father as a good man, he
certainly had the pleasure of ordering his son to return Queen Helene. Finally they sent a
letter to Troy, requesting that Paris repatriate back Helene at Menelaus. However, Helene
refused to return, and Prince Paris itself does not allow the Queen Helene back kep there was
her husband, the pedestal late they have been put together by the goddess of love Aphrodite.
Menelaus were furious with their decisio. Knowing his plans failed, for the sake of his
younger brother, King Agamemnon gathered all the Greek kings and prepared a military
force of a thousand ships, then they sailed for Troy to begin the war. That is the story that led
to the great Trojan war, the war that occurred in Greece and the Trojans. Because of the
selfishness of Paris who did not want to let go of Helene .
