THIS EXERCISE CONSISTS OF 9 QUESTIONS.

PLEASE CONDUCT THE EXPERIMENT ACCORDING

TO THE PROCEDURES GIVEN BELOW AND
ANSWER ALL THE 9 QUESTIONS

The problem statement:

How does mass or weight can affect the object from floating?

சிக்கல்:

ப ொருளின் நிறை/எறை எவ்வொறு ஒரு ப ொருளின் மிதறவத் தன்றமறைப்

Aim/Objective:
To determine the relationship between the mass/weight and the ability of an object to float.

நநொக்கம்:

ப ொருளின் நிறை/எறைக்கும் அதன் மிதறவத் தன்றமக்கும் இறையை உள்ள

Hypothesis:

Greater mass or weight will cause the paper to sink.

கருதுநகொள்:

அதிக நிறை/ எறை கொகிதத்றத மூழ்க பெய்யும்.

Apparatus/Materials:
1. Small Aquarium*
2. A4 Papers
3. 10 cents coins

உ கரணம்/க ொருள்:

1. ெிைிை மீ ன் பதொட்டி *
2. A4 கொகிதங்கள்
3. 10 பென் நொணைங்கள்
Procedure:

வழிமுறை:

1. Fill water into an Aquarium*.

ெிைிை மீ ன் பதொட்டிைில் * நீறர நிரப்புதல்.
2. Fold the paper in half 3 times. After this unfold the paper
கொகிதத்றத மூன்று முறை அறர குதிைொக மடித்தல். ிைகு அதறனப்
ிரித்தல்.
3. Cut the A4 paper into 8 pieces along the folded lines. Make sure it’s same in term of
size.
மடித்த யகொடுகளுக்யகற் A4 கொகிதத்றத 8 துண்டுகளொக பவட்டுதல். அளவின்
அடிப் றைைில் அறவ ஒயர மொதிரிைொக இருப் றத உறுதிபெய்தல்.
4. Put the paper in the water.
கொகிதத்றத நீரில் றவத்தல்.
5. Slowly put one 10 cent coin on top of the paper.
கொகிதத்தின் யமல் 10 பென் நொணைத்றதக் பமதுவொக றவத்தல்.
6. Observe and record the results (Sink or Float?)
உற்ைைிந்து முடிறவக் குைித்தல். (மூழ்குகிைதொ? /மிதக்கிைதொ?)
7. Repeat step 5 and 6 by adding 10 cent coins until the paper sinks with the coins.
கொகிதம் மூழ்கும் வறர 10 பென் நொணைங்கறளச் யெர்த்து வழிமுறை 5
மற்றும் 6 ஐ மீ ண்டும் பெய்தல்.
8. Repeat steps 4 - 6 with a new paper of the same size 2 more times
புதிை கொகிதத்றதக் பகொண்டு வழிமுறை 4 ,5 மற்றும் 6 ஐ யமலும் 2 முறை
பெய்தல்.
