Greek playwrights and philosophers include, Socrates, Plato, Aristotle, Sophocles and Aeschylus

Fifth century 499-400 BC is called the golden age of Greece, Plautus and Terence are the famous
playwrights of this age.

Old English(Anglo-Saxon period) 450-1066 Beowulf is the famous poem of this period it has
achieved the status of national epic in England. Famous tenth century poems are the Wanderer and
the sea farer.
