B. Roof Live load


Roof (inaccessible) of shelters for parking structures, bus shelters etc., shall be designed for a live
load of 0.75kPa.

C. Moving/ Vehicle Load (Lm)


Structures across main access road (culverts, pipe protection slabs etc.,) shall be designed for
AASHTO HL-93 loading as a minimum or 5t/m2 for abnormal vehicles.

Pipe supports shall be designed for pipe dead loads, operating loads, thermal/ frictional forces along
with wind load and seismic forces.
Thermal loads shall be as provided in the pipe stress report. Friction forces in pipe longitudinal and
transverse direction shall be considered as below:
