Separate commands for placing a bent bar list on drawing
With previous versions of RebarCAD v9.0 you could only switch between generating a bar list and
REBARCAD NOW bent bar list on drawing by revising the bar list configuration. RebarCAD v9.04 offers a new bent bar
TOLERATES list command so that you can instantly place the type of bar list you require.

Enhanced Highlight Bars in Drawing Command
MANY MORE This useful tool that enable you to identify bars on the drawing directly from the bar list has been
ENHANCEMENTS further extended to use the AutoCAD zoom feature, and to enable easy cycling through all associated
HAVE ALSO BEEN bar sets.
MADE!!!
Specify revision levels for each revision type
You can now specify individual revision levels for each revision type. For example you could have a
series of preliminary revisions levels such as P1, P2, P3, and then switch to tender revisions level of
T1, T2, and so on.

Control over whether match and compact bars updates issued sheets
Previous versions of RebarCAD only warned that issued pages may be updated by use of the match
and compact bars commands. RebarCAD v9.04 now allows you to specify that only bars on un-issue
drawings sheets should be updated. This allows you to detail further drawing sheets in the
knowledge that no unexpected revisions will be made to already issued sheets, following use of the
match and compact commands.
Ability to manually edit all revisions
The drawing and bar list revision level of each individual bar can now be edited directly via a new
Override Revision Mark command. This allows users complete control over revisions in those cases
where deviation from the rigid revision system is desirable. This includes the ability to manually
override all revision headers also.

New un-combine feature

An additional command has been added to the bar list that allows for the un-combining of individual
bars, or the entire drawing sheets. This feature may be useful when checking bars within the
drawing.
Updated coupler libraries
Some couplers files supplied with RebarCAD have been refreshed to ensure that they are consistent
with the manufactures current libraries. The coupler configuration and reporting options have also
been rationalized.

Control over whether bar marks are reported for straight bars
You can now directly control whether bars marks are shown for straight bars when producing a bar
list on drawing or printed reports. This reinstates the equivalent options in RebarCAD v8.

Control over the order in which sketches appear in the shape table
The order in which sketches appear in the shape table on drawing can now be controlled using the
same configurations that apply to the list of bend types. You can now produce the shape table you
require without the need for any manually editing. You could for example configure that sketches for
all main bars to be shown first, and then those the stirrups, and then ties, etc.

AutoCAD Mechanical now a support platform for RebarCAD

The list of supported AutoCAD vertical products has been extended to include Autodesk Mechanical
Desktop 2006 & 2007, and AutoCAD Mechanical 2008 and 2009.

RebarCAD now tolerates AutoCAD fields in title blocks

Previous versions of RebarCAD v9 have been intolerant of the use of AutoCAD fields in title blocks
that are configured to generate drawings sheets. There have been issues with configuring such title
blocks to work fully with RebarCAD and subsequent problems with the refreshing of the bars list on
drawings. Whilst you still cannot map AutoCAD fields to RebarCAD headers, the program now
mitigates these previous problems therefore allowing use of your existing title blocks, without the
need for any editing.

Additional check data warning for re-used drawings

The repeated re-use of RebarCAD drawings has always cause performance and stability issues within
RebarCAD. New RebarCAD drawings should be started a-fresh from a suitable AutoCAD template file,
and not by deleting all entities from a previously detailed drawing file. The check database command
now provides a warning if drawings appear to have been repeatedly re-used.

Refreshing all VPM viewports in one operation

The Refresh Detail command has been extended to offer an ‘all’ options so all currently created VPM
viewports (scale regions) and be refreshed in one operation.

Release descriptions now available in bar list

This version allows you to show the release description in the bar list, both within the bar list window
and the Release navigation panel. Right-click on the column headers and select the Column Chooser
option to append the release description. Reports can now also be produced that include the release
description.
Fix to output problem of rogue characters for fraction symbols
Some users have reported that rogue characters appear next to fraction symbols in some RebarCAD
output files. These characters can currently be purged by opening and saving the output file in
Microsoft Notepad. This problem has now been resolved therefore removing the need to undertake
this workaround.

Configure the format of imperial units in the standard CSF output

This version includes some additional configuration options to control how imperial units are output
in the RebarCAD Standard File Output (.CSF)

Sporadic resetting of current layer (CLAYER) fixed

This version resolves some intermittent problems which result in the current layer being reset
following use of some CADS RC commands

Direct access to the Excel and PDF bar list outputs

The options to output bar lists to Excel and PDF were previously hidden away within the print
preview feature. We have now brought these onto the main bar list ribbon panel so as to increase
visibility and speed of access

Drawing compatibility
Drawings produced from any previous version of RebarCAD can be opened within v9.04. The
program will automatically offer to convert any v8 drawings to work under v9. Changes to
accommodate the new features in this release means that you will not be able to open v9.04
drawings in any previous version of RebarCAD v9. We advise all users to upgrade to v9.04 in order
to facilitate unhindered file sharing. The Save As v8.4 feature has been retained so as to offer a
complete range of drawing sharing options.

Stability improvements
Continuing steps have been taken to further improve the stability and performance of RebarCAD v9.
These improvements continue to increase the operational limits of the program especially when
numerous larger drawings are loaded concurrently.

Many more enhancements have also been made!!!

A raft of other improvements and fixes are also been included in this release. You can review a more
comprehensive list of these from the installed Release Notes documentation
