Introduction

Keltron Component Complex Ltd (KCCL), Kannur is a Government of Kerala undertaking promoted
by Kerala State Electronics Development Corporation (KSEDC). It was established in 1974 and
commercial production started in 1978 in technical collaboration with Sprague Electromag.,
Belgium for the manufacture of Aluminium Electrolytic Capacitors. Now KCCL is the largest
manufacturer of Aluminium Electrolytic Capacitors in India. It also produces Metallised
Polypropylene Capacitors, Carbon & Metal Resistors and Piezo-electric Quartz Crystals.

During the year 2009-10, the three sister concerns of Keltron, viz. Keltron Crystals Ltd (KCL),
Keltron Resistors Ltd (KRL), and Keltron Magnetics Ltd (KML) were merged into KCCL and is
working as a single entity. The Company is ISO 9001:2015 certified and the products are approved
by C-DOT, CACT, LCSO and Defence. Keltron Capacitors are widely accepted by major equipment
manufacturers and Consumer Electronic Industries including BEL, ITI, Crompton Greaves, V-Guard,
Tata Motors, L&T, etc..

KCCL has well developed manufacturing facility with more than 300 automatic and semi-automatic
machines, and an in-house forming plant for low voltage and high voltage foils required in capacitor
division. It is equipped with a DSIR recognized R&D lab named “Electronics Research &
Development Centre (ER&DC)”
