Brief Explanation of Data Collection

The researcher's method of data collection is a seven semi-structured question

interview that consists of all open-ended questions that allows the interviewee to simply

talk freely about whatever question may come up during the interview. The researchers

specifically formed these questions so that the participant’s response would directly

correlate to the relationship between the OFW parent and child whether they are close

with only one or both parents, their emotional and communications difficulties that

hinder their relationship, and the establishing of good communication as a coping

strategy. These seven semi-structured questions are all related to our topic which is “The

Perception of Teenage Students in Far Eastern University High School on the Challenges

arising from OFW family Structure”.
