Office A-328-A ROOM:B-325 Mon. &Wed, 1145 to 3500 COURSE DESCRIPTION: ‘World Geography is a detailed study of topography, land usage, and natural resources of the globe from a regional perspective as they directly and indirectly affect human, economic, historical and political interaction. - LEARNING OBJECTIVES: To develop a basic understanding of what the discipliie of geography is: main concepts and theories. To leam the histories of various regions of the earth as @ way of understanding how contemporary relationships between places were formed. To learn; within a regional context, the main sub-felds of geography: physical, cultural, demographic, tlc. EVALUATION PROCEDURE: ‘There will be four (4) exams, four quizzes,two or three separate map assignments and a final paper. Class patticipation will also be graded combining attendance with active, informed participation in class discussions.
