The document discusses how spiritual things become tangible through faith. It argues that Christ embodied the spiritual by becoming human flesh through the incarnation. Believers can likewise manifest God's spiritual presence in the world through allowing Christ to dwell in them, such that they reflect his glory and nature. Having Christ in them gives believers power over evil forces and enables them to live righteously through God's indwelling presence.

Spiritual to the Natural ● In past months, I have focused on entering into spiritual things. ● Spiritual things are not discerned by analysis and intellect, in fact they are “foolishness” to the world's way of thinking. ● But to us, “Spiritual discerned things” are the power of God. ● I want to show you today that “Spiritual Things” are evidenced by “Tangible & Visible Evidence” of God's presence. Faith the Substance ● Hebrews 11:1 reads: “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” ● Faith is “intangible” just like “spiritual things” are “intangible”. ● We are told that faith is the substance and the evidence. ● In this passage, we have moved from the “intangible” to the “tangible”. The Hebrews Idea of Faith ● By faith, Abel offers a better sacrifice....the intangible is that he obeyed what God had told him and the tangible was a satisfactory sacrifice. ● Enoch “walked with God”, this too was intangible, but the tangible was that God took him into heaven & he never tasted of death. ● Because Noah had faith (the intangible), God warned him of the coming flood & he build an ark (the tangible) ● I hope your getting the message....!!!! Word Made Flesh ● One premier doctrine of our Christian faith is that the Son of God, humbles himself, leaves the spiritual, and takes the form of human flesh to dwell among men. ● It is a story of the intangible, becoming tangible, the spiritual becoming natural, the invisible becoming visible, the word becoming flesh. ● John, chapter one, records this event, permitting us to have a front row seat to the earthly embodiment of Christ. Flesh Made the Word ● John 1:12-13 But to all who did receive him, who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God, who were born, not of blood nor of the will of the flesh nor of the will of man, but of God. ● I didn't mean to confuse you, but before you can be useful to God, God has to get the FLESH out of you. ● Christ is the tangible expression of the spiritual, now you will be the tangible expression of the spiritual. “Christ in you, the home of Glory.” Col 1:27
The Word Became Flesh
● John 1:14 And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we have seen his glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth. ● Christ is the WORD, but the WORD dwells in you. Remember verse 13, “he gave the right to become children of God, not born of blood or by the will of flesh or will of man, but of God.” ● As a Child, you reflect the nature of your parents. You look like them, act like them, sound like them. You are a reflection of them. More Than a Reflection ● John 1:14 says, “...the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we have seen his glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth. ● This is the manifestation of the full glory of the Son. ● Grace and Truth are the two components. ● Grace is the “unmerited favor” you offer others. ● Truth is the “honest mind of Christ” spoken in kindness.
The Colossians Idea
● Colossians 2:9-10 says, “God lives fully in Christ. And you are fully grown because you belong to Christ, who is over every power and authority.” ● KJV - For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily. And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power: ● Even as a “baby Christian”, you have what is needed to live powerfully. v.11 says, “Christ has taken away your selfish desires, just as circumcision removes flesh from the body.” The Paul's Treatise Colossians 1:15-20 ● Christ is exactly like God, who cannot be seen. He is the first-born Son, superior to all creation. Everything was created by him, everything in heaven and on earth, everything seen and unseen, including all forces and powers, and all rulers and authorities. All things were created by God’s Son, and everything was made for him. ● Like God, who cannot be seen; ● Everything created by him, seen and unseen; ● Including forces & powers, rulers & authorities. ● Everything was made for him. (See John 1) Ushering in the Visible ● “I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things.” Isaiah 45:7 ● Listen closely, one theologian said it this way... Darkness is the absence of light! Evil is the absence of Peace! ● Christ, made flesh is the presence everything good, righteous, holy, loving, & peaceful. ● John 1:5 says, “In Him was life, and that life was the light of men. The Light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.” Behold the Kingdom of God ● What then is the expression of the “presence of God on earth that dispels evil?” ● You would argue, Christ is! Colossians 2:2 says, “He is the KEY to God's mystery and all wisdom & knowledge are hidden away in Him. ● Colossians 2:19 defines Kingdom Subjects: ● They are part of Christ, ● Christ is the Head of the whole body, ● Christ give the body its strength, ● It is held together by it's joints & muscles, ● The body grows by the power of God. The Power of the Kingdom of God ● Listen to Colossians 2:20, “You died with Christ. Now the forces of the universe don’t have any power over you.” ● Remember what we said, “light dispels darkness, peace dispels evil, love dispels hate, obedience dispels disobedience, truth dispels lies. ● Paul, in verse 21, shows us that the power of Christ working in us abolishes the best rules & regulations because God's presence in us chooses to do what is right.
