in order to prevent ingress of unwanted moisture, debris or insects which might damage the
cable.

4.1.7      Cable entries into equipment located outdoor or in areas where wash down may take
place will be from below where possible.  When entries have to be horizontal, a drip loop will be
formed in the cable immediately behind the cable gland.

4.1.8      All cable glands will be covered with shrouds.  Stranded conductor ends will be fitted
with a suitable crimped thimble.  Each conductor will be identified by color of the corresponding
phase.  Before connection to equipment and after completion of cable glands an insulation test
will be carried out and recorded.

4.1.9      After prefabrication of supports and before the erection of the equipment, supports
will be primary coated.  After installation, all of the primary coating destroyed by welding will be
cleaned and redone.

Lighting fixture support will be attached to handrails when necessary by right angle clamps.
Conduit attached to beams in parallel, clamps will be used.
