Ans. Fly belongs to the group of insects and owl belongs to the group of birds.
(b) Describe three ways in which they are similar.
Ans. Both have wings, eyes and reproduce by laying eggs.
(c) Describe three ways in which they are different.
Ans. An insect has six legs and a pair of antennae but an owl has only two legs and it does
not have antennae. An owl’s body is covered with feathers but an insect does not have
feathers.

Ans#1. The body covering of the animal X is feathers.
2. The body covering of the animal Y is scales.

Ans#1. Animal X belongs to group ‘’Bird’’.
2. Animal Y belongs to group ‘’Fish’’.
3. Animal Z belongs to group ‘’Mammals’’.
