12. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0).
13, Replace the accelerator podal module (see page
11-328),
14, Reconnect all connectors.

18. Check for Temporary DTCs or DTCs with the HDS,
Is DTC P2128 indicated?
YES—Check for poor connections or loose
terminals at the APP sensor and the ECM/PCM,
then goto step 1
NO=Troubleshooting is complete. any other
‘Temporary DTCs or DTCs are indicated, go to the
indicated OTC’s troubleshooting.
18, Reconnect all connectors.
20, Update the ECM/PCM fit does not have the latest
software (see page 11-281), or substitute a known-
‘good ECM/PCM (see page 11-7)
21. Check for Temporary DTCs or DICs with the HDS.
Is DTC P2128 indicated?
YES—Check for poor connections or loose
terminals at the APP sensor and the ECM/PCM. If
the ECM/PCM was updated, substitute a known=
‘good ECM/PCM (see page 11-7), then recheck. Ifthe
ECMVPCM was substituted, goto step 1.
NO=I the ECM/PCM was updated, troubleshooting
is complete. Ifthe ECM/PCM was substituted,
‘eplace the original ECM/PCM (see page 11-282). If
‘any other Temporary DTCs or DTCs are indicated,
{go to the indicated DTC's troubleshooting.

DTC P2135; TP Sensor A/B Incorrect Voltage
Correlation
Do notiinsert your fingers into the installed throttle
body when youtur the ignition switch to ON (i) or
while the ignition switch is ON (). I you do, you
will seriously injure your fingers ifthe throttle valve
is activated.
NOTE: Before you troubleshoot, record all freeze data
and any on-board snapshot, and reviow the genaral
troubleshooting information (see page 11-3).
1. Turn the ignition switch to ON A).
2, Clear the DTC with the HDS.
3. Do the ETCS TEST in the INSPECTION MENU with
the HDS,
‘4. Check for Temporary DTCs or DTCs with the HDS.
Is DTC P2135 indicated?
YES—Go to step 5.
NO—intermittent failure, the system is OK at this
time. Check for poor connections or loose terminals
at the throttle body and the ECM/PCM. a
5. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0).
6, Disconnect the intake air duct from the throttle
body.
7. Turn the ignition switch to ON (ID.
@. Visually check the throttle valve operation while
you clear the DTC with the HDS.
Dogs the valve temporarily move toits fully
closed position?
YES—Go to step 15.
NO—Go to step 9.Ea
8. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0)
10, Jump the SCS line with the HDS,
11. Disconnect ECM/PCM connector B (49P?.
412, Check for continuity between ECM/PCM connector
terminals B17 and B26.

YES—Repair short in the wire between the ECM/
PCM B17 (TPSA line) and the B26 (TPSB line!, then
go to step 17,
NO—Goto step 16.

17, Reconnect all connectors.
18. Turn the ignition switch to ON (i.
19, Roset the ECM/PCM with the HDS.
20, Do the ECM/PCM idle learn procedure (see page

21, Check for Temporary DTCs or DTCs with the HOS.
Is DTC P2185 indicated?
YES—Check for poor connections or loose
terminals at the throttle body and the ECMV/PCM,
then goto step 1
NO—Troubleshooting is complete. if any other
Temporary DTCs or DTCs are indicated, go to the
indicated DTC's troubleshooting.

terminals at the throttle body and the ECMVPCM. if
the ECMWPCM was updated. substitute a known:
good ECM/PCM (see page 11-7), then recheck. Ifthe
ECM/PCM was substituted, go to step 1
NO=If the ECM/PCM was updated, troubleshooting
is complete. ff the ECM/PCM was substituted,
replace the original ECM/PCM (see page 11-282). If
any other Temporary DTCs or DTCs are indicated,
0 to the indicated DTC's troubleshooting.
