Different mangement VLANID between

cascaded RTN's causing not managed RTN

Issue Description

We use RTN980 V1R003C00 and using the inband DCN and between

RTN's in the same site we make cascading using multimode fiber

which also used for carrying 3G traffic.

Alarm Information

Null.

Handling Process

At the first check that the ports is enabled or not and make sure of

the cascading connections between the RTN's and send start

checking the DCN parameters and found that the management

VLANID is different between the two RTN's so when we change the

other VLANID and check with the NOC that they can see the other

RTN and they can manage it.

Root Cause
The problem was that in the first RTN the management VLANID is

different between the two RTN's.

Suggestions

While configuration the DCN must make sure of the configuration

and confirm with the NOC that they can manage the device.
