1. Why should every Filipino treat with reverence and respect our national symbols?

Filipino’s are required to show respect and that is a law that amend to respect our national
symbols because that is our own identity being a Filipino citizen that served our country.
As we noticed that during flag ceremony we need to stop and sing with it because it also
a sign of respect. We should be given utmost importance for it reflects our love for our
country, and that is the one to value the sacrifices the people who died protecting and
defending our country. It tributes the symbol of our country, all the hopes, dreams and the
people it represents.

2. How can we help develop among our students their love and respect for our national
symbols?

We can help our students to develop their love and respect for our national symbols in the
beginning of a teacher through teaching them and show them starting in elementary level.
We have to implement in school, in the classroom. The teacher should be the model of
the students by that the students should follow. The teacher should also discipline the
students to force the student to go to school earlier and attend the flag ceremony. Teacher
also should include it by giving a little discussion about the importance of national
symbols so that the students understand and put it in their mind by give a respect and it
will become their norms until they are in high school, college and professional it will
become a habit.
