How to replace the original drivers fan in AnyCubic I3 Mega.

https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2924058

If you replace the original drivers, you could have problems with the fan because the airflow
does not reach all drivers correctly.

It’s possible that the new heatsinks may be higher than the older in this case the fan will be in
a forced position avoiding the enclosure doesn't close properly.

Or you just don't want such a loud fan.

In this case, change the original fan for a big (100x100x12mm), slow (1000 RPM) and quiet
(14.5dB) fan like Scythe KAZE-JYU slim SY1012SL12L 12V

To install the new Fan, you need print a new support piece/s , and there are two options:

1) One support piece (A) like original support, the fan will be fix with 2 screws.
2) Two supports pieces (A, B and C), now the fan will be fix with 4 screws.

The first option is easy and fast but the second is more robust, better and more complicated.
Option with one support
Will need the next material:

Remove the 2 screws from fan, 2 screws from the fan support, the fan connector and 2 screws
from TriGorilla main board. In this order.
And get the original Fan drivers kit.

Install the new support with 2 screws (M3 x 10mm) on the main board
And the new fan* with 2 screws (M3 x 15mm), 2 nut (M3) and plug the fan connector. You
could be use a little of glue to fix the nuts under support.

Ready to enjoy.

* Note: Place the Fan in the photo position, in order to flow air to the drivers.
Option with two supports
Will need the next material:

Install the support A following the steps described in the section “option with one support”
and you get this.
Remove the green board “I3 MEGA-SD SWITCH” …

… following the next procedure:

Unplug the right and bottom connectors

Slide up and carefully the two tabs on the SD reader connector

And remove the flat cable.

Now you can remove the board upwards, take care that not to bend any pin of the lower
connectors. May be need use a cutter to detach the glue that holds it.

Remove the 2 screws from TriGorilla main board.

Mount the second support using the pieces B, C, screw (M3 x 25mm) and nut (M3) as explain
in the next steps
Place the second support in the correct place and use the screw (M3 x 10mm) to fix it hard on
the TriGorilla main board. Then remove the screw (M3 x 25mm) that fix the piece B to C.

Extract the piece B and leave the piece C.

Is time to mount the “I3 MEGA-SD SWITCH” board. I placed a little tape in the buzzer because
sound high when turn on the printer.
And mount the board carefully over the TriGorilla main board.

Connect the three cables.

Mount the piece B over the C, fix with the screw (M3 x 25mm) and nut, then fix all to the
TriGorilla board with screw (M3 x 10).
Fix the fan* with one screw (M3 x 15mm) with a nut (M3) and connect the fan to main board.
You could be use a little of glue to fix the nut under support.

Then mount the rest screws (M3 x 15mm) and nuts.

Installed.

* Note: Place the Fan in the photo position, in order to flow air to the drivers.
It's time to close the case. The original position of the cover blocks the flow of air.

But it is easy to solve, you just have to turn the cover 180º.

However, there are two screws in the central part that we cannot put because the drills do not
match. We can leave them without putting or making two drills in the cover.
