BACK TO SCHOOL JAM 2016

Detailed Schedule of Events and Participants

7:00am Teen Staff Arrival.

8:00am Lite Breakfast Served by The Hospitality Ministry.

9:00am Bishop Hodges Speaks to Parents and Youth. Conclude with Vocation Fair.

11:00am Lunch Served by The Hospitality Ministry.

12:00pm Youth Outside for Fun & Games. Parents Inside for Roundtable Discussion.

SETUP

Teen Staff will arrive at 7am to begin set up. JB will be in charge of the inside setup, and Angela will be in
charge of the outside setup. Anne Crane will set up the Dining Hall, and The Hospitality Ministry will set
up and make preparations for serving Breakfast and Lunch. Tables need to be brought upstairs and
tables need to be set up outside in the parking lot. After tables are set up in the parking lot, Anne will
decorate the tables. The Teen Ministry Staff with the Volunteers will set up all of the stations outside.

BREAKFAST

Breakfast will be served by The Hospitality Ministry from 8am to 9am, after which they will clean up and
prepare for lunch at 11am. Anne will set up the Candy Bar for the Youth for after lunch. The Hospitality
Ministry will also prepare the Popcorn Machine as a snack alternative after lunch.

SPEAKERS

JB is the MC for the speaking part from 9am to 11am. He will manage the rotation of the speakers.
Bishop Hodges will open by speaking first, then the different Vocations represented will speak after in
the order on the schedule. Each speaker will have approximately 10 to 15 minutes to speak on their
Vocation as an alternative to college and also anything they may deem as necessary. They may also take
any questions form the guest as time permits.

LUNCH

Lunch will be served by The Hospitality Ministry from 11am to 12pm. There will also be a table set up
outside in case anyone wants to take their food outside to eat. There will also be a Candy Bar and
Popcorn for snacks after lunch. Note, there will be an overlap between lunch and entertainment.
YOUTH ENTERTAINMENT

Angela & Cliff will facilitate the Entertainment outside. They will be responsible for filling the needs of
the Volunteers and their stations. Volunteers will need to be in place by 10am to ensure their stations
are set up and ready for the youth.

The Bounce House will be managed by Robert & Sherry Stevens. They will keep order with the youth
making safety a priority. No shoes are allowed inside the Bounce House.

The Balloon Dart will be managed by Lorenza James. There will be prizes associated with this game.

The Balloon Toss will be managed by Karen James. There will be prizes associated with this game.

The Cake Walk will be managed by Nanette Boggan & Samantha James. Cakes will be donated by Angela
Kimble, Althea Woodley, Andre Ware, and Linda Weston. This game will be played like musical chairs.
There will be prizes associated with this game.

Sand Art will be managed by Jacquelynn Robinson. She will assist the youth in creatively designing their
own unique Sand Art.

Face Painting will be managed by Ruthy Prophete. She will paint different designs on the faces of the
youth.

The Ministry Table will be managed by Larry & Lois Wilson. They will promote the church and give away
free bibles, CDs, DVDs and other literature about the various ministries at our church. They will also
offer prayer to anyone who request it. Note, REQUESTED prayers only.

Music will by provided by Chuck Smith.

The Parking Lot Ministry will be responsible for controlling the traffic and parking. Teen Staff Members
and Volunteers are to park across the street at Smitha Middle School.

Once event is over, each station will be responsible for the cleaning up of your area. Teen Staff will break
down the tables and chairs and return them back to the annex and make sure all other cleanup is done
to satisfaction.
