Pandemic Covid-19 has created the need and the need to keep the distance in social
distancing, quarantine, and isolation so that any vulnerable individual will not be exposed to
viruses. The effort was made — one of them — with the aim that the healthcare system was not
overwhelmed by the growing number of patients to be served. Pandemic that now struck the
world also changed the world of education, in the face of this pandemic teacher is required to
continue to be active in the development of technology to develop the teaching. This pandemic
requires us to work and learn from home. New method for some educators. Unfortunately, not all
teachers and schools are ready to implement distance learning methods. There are some schools
that are still confused as to how to teach them to be as effective as teachers in the classroom?
What a conducive teaching learning system, as if Learning in class? What material should we
teach so as not to burden people at home? Time they learned while there were both parents
working. Sometimes there are also times when learning is ongoing, but students play with the
technology available, a lack of discipline to follow online learning. (A. Rachmat, 2020, vol.2)
Learning from the homes that are being used now causes students (and perhaps also
teachers) to miss opportunities to understand and understand more in the events facing today's
society and the nation. They will miss important moments to reflect social solidarity, caring,
empathy and the opportunity to reflect on the contributions that can be given to help people in
this difficult time. Here are some ways to improve language skills in the pandemic era:
1. The "listening" exercise using ear hearing aids (Earphones) or the earphones (Headsets)
in listening exercises or "Listening to English" will greatly help focus more on learning.
The "Listening to English" training material can be chosen as offered by Bahaso using
'native teachers' or 'native' teachers who are supported by English to make it easier and
more confident.

2. Enable the "Spell Check" feature The "spell check" or "spell check" feature on a gadget
or laptop will be very useful in learning to save on spelling problems. Get used to also
add new words will add more English vocabulary. Be careful when learning English
boldly through songs or movies. There are some songs or films that override grammar to
make it more pleasant to hear. For example, Justin Bieber's song "my mom doesn't like
you" the grammar really is "my mom doesn't like you". Practicing good English grammar
can be obtained through books or reading materials translated into English for example
through ebooks or English articles. Or to make it more exciting, you can read some
English that you like. If the novel is too heavy, it might be able to dig up anti with short
stories or fairy tales, or more exciting fairy tales.
3. Practice and practice The main key in learning English is practice and practice. The
easiest way to do this is to find friends or talk online to do speaking in English. (Erna P,
2020, vol.5)
