Dear Students,

This document is describing your midterm case exam which starts on 16 th of January from 3pm and
ends with a case presentation from you on 17th of January at 1pm.

The midterm exam counts for 20% of your total assessment of the course.

On 16th of January you will get the task from the lecturer Kenneth Singh.
On 17th of January you are presenting your findings with a powerpoint presentation. You can
either work individually or in a group.

From the powerpoint which should not last more than 15mins. Pr. presentation you are expected
to elaborate on;

- Create and demonstrate your questionnaire


- Population vs Sample in your survey – elaborate on selection of respondents
- Sample Size
- Cross data analysis in pivot table
- Calculations of descriptive statistics and confidence interval
- Graphs
- Elaborate on Primary vs. secondary data
- Conclusion to your findings

Task;

GENERAL STATISTICS OFFICE of VIET NAM have hired you as a consultant. They
are interested in learning more on domestic holiday travelling for the Vietnamese.
The office is especially interested in learning more on the younger segment,
students from Hanoi in the age of 18-25 years.
The office has therefore contacted you, and they want you to examine and perform
primary research in order to find out.

“Where and why do the Vietnamese students go on holidays in Vietnam?”

The office expect at least 100 respondents in the primary data collection, and the
office is interested in learning more on this field, why you are to present your
findings on 17th of January at 3pm.
