5.3) Using a #2 Phillips Head screwdriver and the screws provided with the cabinet, attach one mounting bracket to each side of
the cabinet using the holes provided. Figure 2 illustrates the mounting scheme of 19” cabinets and figure 2a of 23” cabinets. An
alternate mounting position (Figure 2b) is available for 19” cabinets. To have a cabinet that installs more rearward in racks use the
4-hole pattern closest to the front side of the cabinet. The forward top cover assembly screw must be removed prior to the installation
of the mounting brackets. Once a mounting bracket is installed, the top cover assembly screw must be replaced.

5.4) Secure the 4 Mounting Clips (Item 4) to inside of the cabinet door by removing the protective backing from the adhesive foam pad,
and securing the 4 Mounting Clips onto the inside surface of the clear plastic cabinet door. The mounting clips must be secured at the
four target locations printed on the door (Figure 3 & 3a). The mounting clips are positioned such that when the cabinet door is closed, the
clips will support the port identification card (Item 3). Further support of the identification card is provided by the use of the enclosed
Hook/Loop dots. Mate each Hook with a Loop dot. With Label in place on cabinet front door, remove protective backing from Hook or
Loop and attach to underside of identification label, as required. Remove backing from the remaining side. Swing label into place and
press against clear plastic door to secure.

7.0 CABLE ROUTING AND INSTALLATION
7.1 Strip off approximately 1 meter (39 inches) of cable jacket. Trim the central strength member and/or the aramid yarn back to the cable
jacket. Terminate connectors (if required) per the manufacturer’s instructions.
7.2) With the jacketed portion of the fiber, make a service coil as large as the cabinet height will permit, as exemplified in Figure 7). The
service coil is required to allow the tray to slide out the front of the cabinet freely.
7.3) Secure the outside coil to the cabinet utilizing management straps (item 9) and the loops provided. Secure the inside coil to the
tray utilizing wire management straps and the loops provided.
7.4) An example of a Patch and Splice wiring scheme is depicted in Figure 8.
7.5) The Danger and Caution labels (items 6 & 7) must be secured to the rear door of the cabinet in the vicinity shown in Figure 9.
The danger label (item 6) is to be secured over the punch-out feature provided for the optional rear door locking mechanism.
