Revised Casual Leave Rules has been notified by SAIL Corporate Office and has been circulated in BSP vide circular No.Rules - 61/2020 dated 04.07.2020. As per clause 6.3 of the revised Casual Leave Rules, An employee can opt to avail Half-Cl within the entitled CL for any of the first or second half of the day/shift duty. ‘As SAIL Casual Leave Rules is applicable to employees (both Executives and Non-Executives governed by SAIL Leave Rules, hence Half-Cl is being introduced for employees (both Executives and Non-executives) governed by SAIL Leave Rules. The modalities for Half-CL would be as under: 1. Half-CL would be applicable to all employees in regular grade (including Management Trainees but excluding Non-executive trainees) who are governed by SAIL Casual Leave Rules. 2. Employees superannuating in the month of implementation of Half-CL would not be eligible for the same. 3. Time period for applying leave notified vide circular No.Rules-26/2000 dated 15.05.2000 should be followed. 4. An employee governed by SAIL Leave Rules is entitled to 15 days CL in a calendar year. Thus, the total no. of Half-Cl would not exceed 30 days for an employee in a calendar year. 5. As per rules, employees joining after the first day of January shall be entitled to proportionate number of days of Cl, for the remaining part of the Calendar Year. Thus, the total no. of Half-CL would be in accordance to the no. of entitled CL. 6. Provision of Half-CL shall not be applicable to Executives and Non-executives during night shift. 7. As per rules, CL cannot be combined with any kind of leave except Special Casual Leave. Hence, Half-CL would be allowed only in combination with CL or Special CL. 8.
