Purpose To provide a clear instruction to complete Chemical Flow map

Scope Responsible personnel relevant to Wet process (Production incharge, Lab incharge, ECR, Printing
incharge, Chemical store incharge, Dyeing master etc.)

Procedures

Before Chemical Flow map following points are to be considered:

(I) To prepare a chemical flow map (ecomap) at first collect the factory layout plan
(II) On layout map mark all processes (dyeing, finishing, washing, garments, boiler, generator, ETP, WTP,
Waste storage)
(III) Identify chemical receiving area (chemical in), loading/ unloading area, distribute in the storages
(chemical storage, sub-chemical storage, ETP etc.,) in the factory layout plan and marked with
colored arrow
(IV) Identify chemical distributions within different process (dyeing, finishing, printing etc.) and marked
with a colored arrow
(V) Ensure after use all chemicals from different units (dyeing, printing, finishing and washing) are going
to the ETP by existing drain and marked into the map (ecomap) with colored arrow
(VI) Insert hazard/ GHS symbols (in the map) associated with chemicals
(VII) Insert eye wash station, first aid, high voltage, wet floor, fire extinguisher, emergency exit routs, entry
restricted signs in the map
(VIII) Insert compass and legend for all symbols and signs used in the map
