Essay : What are the significant difference of E-commerce and E-marketing?

E-commerce is the activity of electronically buying or selling of products online.

Simplify and speed up all stages of the business process, from design and making,

to buying, selling and delivering. E-marketing is using an electronic network to

simplify and speed up all stages of the business process, from design and making,

to buying, selling and delivering.

The significant difference of these two when it comes to E-commerce carries

business transactions through various electronic mediums like internet, mobiles,

telephones, fax machines, ATM’s, credit cards whereas E-marketing only deals with

business transactions carried through internet, e-mails, search engines.

In advertising, e-marketing provides information and details to answer the

inquiries while e-commerce simply describes the features and benefits of the

products. E-marketing in target market, knows his/her target market well while in e-

commerce no specific target market. When it comes to promotions and discounts, e-

marketing individually tailored to customer and e-commerce standard for all

customers.

In pricing of products, e-marketing is based on the ability of the customer to buy

while e-commerce is setting by seller without taking into consideration the customer.

In development of new products, e-marketing is creating the needs and wants of the

customer, while in e-commerce is based on research and development.

The difference between E-commerce and E-marketing is basic as it

operationally falls in somewhat unique categories.
