What is Curriculum?

The curriculum can be considered as a framework or a design for action that comprises various
elements including the materials, lessons, aims/objectives, teaching content/subject matter, teaching strategies and
approaches, assessment methods, proficiency level of the learners, progress and assessment procedures, instructional
plan, and other components of learning and teaching in for the purpose of achieving targeted educational outcomes
in a given school year. 

Ralph Tyler defines it as all the learning experiences planned and directed by the school to attain its educational
goals. The content of training, including concepts and strategies arranged in sequence. 

A comprehensive overview of what students should learn, how they will learn it, what role the instructor is
playing, and the framework in which learning and teaching will take place. 

Blueprint serving as a guide to design lessons and activities.
