0 Introduction Computerization is a control system that manages processes in industrial

workplace. It reduced human errors and processing time, thus it can boost productivity and resulted
into high quality of product produce. In Information System, computerization is concerned about
interrelating different but interdependent transactions. This can result in a system with well-integrated
processes that can perform much faster and more accurate than a manual system. Enrollment is the
process of entering and verifying data of student to register on a particular school. Different
interrelated processes build up enrollment procedures called Enrollment System (ES). ES are used
particularly in recording and retrieving student’s information. Tracking student’s information is also
one feature of ES, in which the school can trace the standing of a student. Verifying payments was
also added to update or browse student’s billings. Enrollment System is a good example of a computer
generated process. This can lessen the workload and provides accurate information needed of the
school. As a result, it will benefit not only the student but the administration as a whole.
2. 2. Enrollment System is very essential in a school. In the case of Nyongani School Inc., it is composed
of a manual system. Directress used manual system in recording and retrieving student’s information.
She also has information about student’s payment. In fact, she does all the record keeping just by
using ballpen and columnar sheet. On the other hand, Registrar Department also used manual system
as a way of recording and retrieving student information. Another department is Accounting Office
that administers student’s payment manually. Mission ST. ANTHONY SCHOOL is a Catholic
parochial institution established in 1936. Inspired by the virtues of St. Anthony of Padua (charity,
simplicity, humility, respect for creation) and a firm commitment to excellence, WE, the members of
the Anthonian family, envision to become dynamic partners in evangelizing mission of the parish
through the holistic and integral formation of responsible citizens and catalyst of change. Vission
Guided by this vision, we shall become a resource and center of excellence in basic education in the
Manila Archdiocesan and Parochial Schools Association. We shall mold formed–in–Christ,
academically competent, and socially responsible Anthonians by offering relevant, learner-centered
educational programs rooted in Catholic faith, and values in a nurturing and conducive learning
environment; and by building a

1.1Background of the Study 1.2 Statement of the Objectives 1.2.1 General Objectives  The general
objective of this study is to develop a Enrollment System . 1.2.3 Specific Objectives  To create a
module that will record the student’s name, grade level and section.  To create a module that will
record the student’s grade for quizzes, recitation, project, and quarterly exam.  To create a module
that will compute the student’s quarterly grade based on inputted data.  To create a module that will
secure and maintain the integrity of data. 1.2 Statement of the Problem 1.2.1 General Problem  How
to create a Enrollment System for St Anthony School.
4. 4. 1.2.2 Specific Problem  To create a module that will display the student’s record.  Topromote
automation awareness by reducing (if not eliminating) manual tasks.  To avoid miscomputation of
student’s grades.  To create a module that will automatically compute the student’s grade. 1.4
Significance of the Study This part of documentation discusses about the different benefits that will
get by the following:  Employees The proposed system will benefit the employees handling
enrollment processess of St Anthony School.  Registrar Ms. . Olivia A. Abbocserve as the current
registrar, who is intended to be one of the primary users of the systems. Once the system was
implemented, it will able to help reduce the work the Registrar.
5. 5. All the students record will be stored in the systems database like students class schedules and
sections, teachers schedule, and the students grade. Through the use of the system, accquiring
information by the users will be served with fewer delays, even decisions could be made easily based
on the latest input data.  School The proposed system once implemented, will help the school
persuade new, incoming students to enroll, and not only that the school can compete with other public
schools in terms of enrollment and quality education. The computerized enrollment system will
provide the faculty and staff easy access to the students profiles, grades and schedules.  Students and
Parents The proposed system will be able to minimize the time and effort that it takes to process
students enrollment. Also it is also beneficial to the parents because it will help them lessen the time it
takes to find appropriate class for thier children.  Future Researchers The system will benefit the
future researcher/s as guide or reference in thier own efforts at any proposal or project. The
researchers will enhance their analysis, knowledge and technical skills. They will gain programming
knowledge and logical stimulation, knowing how to eliminate the certain problems of a
6. 6. system. The importance of conducting this study will be their opportunity to test and prove their
skills in hardware development.  Proponents The proponents have developed their writing, analysis,
and interpretation skills needed to make a good thesis. It will benefitial to the proponents by gaining
programming knowledge and logical stimulation and knowing how to eliminate certain problems of a
computer system. Due to the stated problems regarding their teaching system, the proponents will not
only gain programming knowledge but willl also proposed a computerized version of enrollment. The
importance of conducting this study will be the opportunity for the proponents to test and prove their
skills in software development. They will utilize not only their skills in programming, but will also
have to ensure and be sure that their program will be of greater help and will meet all the user’s needs.
2.0 Methodology of the Study The Fourth Generation Technique (4GT) is based on NPL that is the
Non- Procedural Language techniques. Depending upon the specifications made, the 4GT approaches
uses various tools for the automatic generation of source codes. It is the vital tool which uses the non-
procedural language for Report generation, Database query, Manipulation of data, Interaction of
screen, Definition, Generation of code, Spread Sheet capabilities, High level graphical capacity etc.
Like any other models used, the 4GT approach requires the requirement analysis step. Once the
requirement analysis is done upto the expectations, its
7. 7. translation into the operational prototype begins. The most important phase in the 4GT approach is
the customer developer approach, all the major decisions regarding the implementations, costs and
functioning of the system is taken in this phase. The Fourth Generation Technique (4GT) is usually
successful in implementing smaller applications as we can easily switch from the requirement analysis
phase to the implementation phase. Prototypes of any applications can be easily developed with the
help of the 4GT approach. This prototype helps the clients to give a rough idea of how the system will
look when it is done. The 4GT model is very useful approach in small projects but it is not a dominant
approach for large software development.
