Due to modernization and the evolution of technology, fewer and fewer young people use television,

however, each of us has at least one TV in the house. The dilemma is: is it better and more useful for
young people to watch TV or should they avoid it as much as possible?

On the one hand, time spent on television is generally family time. After a busy day, family members
can gather in the living room to watch a movie and relax or watch the news together. Thus, this is also a
good reason to talk in the family, because otherwise everyone would stay in his room. Young people
should also watch TV to keep up to date with news from the country and the world, in general.
Although there is the internet, unfortunately most young people use it incorrectly, so they do not even
know who the president of the country is. And let's be honest, an informed citizen is a protected citizen.

On the other hand, watching TV can be harmful for both children and their parents. As there are many
commercials on TV, young people are trapped, especially children, so parents are asked to buy those
products. For example, on the cartoon channels, between each episode there is advertising, which
shows many toys and their wonderful features, so children, after seeing the presentation, are lured to
buy them. A second flaw of television are certain programs, which may involuntarily promote
stereotypes. For example, I was watching a show, in which it was mentioned that girls (future women)
have to clean and cook while boys (future men) have to repair cars and work. Which I don't agree with,
because in this way children learn the responsibilities of family members wrong.

To conclude, we can certainly say that there are pros and cons to watching TV, so parents must decide
how to educate their child and properly manage their activity. This will help save money, improve family
relationships and a fair growth to ensure a prosperous future.
