Proving Trigonometric Iden00es

We can use the eleven fundamental trigonometric
iden99es to establish other iden99es. For
example, suppose we want to establish the iden9ty
cscθ – cotθ = sinθ/(1+cosθ)
To verify that it is an iden9ty, recall that we need to
establish the truth of the equa9on for all values of
the variable. To prove it, we use the fundamental
trigonometric iden99es and valid algebraic
manipula9ons like performing the fundamental
opera9ons, factoring, canceling and mul9plying the
numerator and denominator by the same quan9ty.

Example
1.  Prove sec x – cos x = sin x tan x.

Example
2. Prove:
[(1+sinθ)/(1-sinθ)] – [(1-sinθ)/(1+sinθ)] =
