Week 10-12

Art Appreciation

Overview
This week you will review the reading materials on how sound or music can be translated into a
new form of art. Then, you will try to interpret music through your own art expression/s.

Expectations for the Week


1. Read the supporting materials and complete the activities in this learner guide.
2. Manage your time wisely. You should be able to complete the requirements of this course
in nine hours.

Activity: Interpret music through own art expressions
1. Pick a song and interpret it through your own art expression (E.g. quick doodles, sketch,
poetry, dance, or magic).

2. Review your output against the elements of the Presentation rubric. You can find the
parameters of the rubric in the Rubrics folder of your downloaded references. This is
what your professor will use to evaluate your output.

3. You have different options in submitting your output:

For poetry, short stories, or any type of word document:

a. Sharing the Document. If you created your output using Google Docs,
share the file with your professor.

i. On the top right-hand corner of the document, click the


button.

ii. Type your professor’s email address in the Add people and
groups textbox. If you are logged in using your NTC email address,
just type your professor’s name and select the right one from
available options.

iii. Ensure that the checkbox is ticked.

iv. Enter a message regarding the submission.

v. Click the button to share your document

For sketches, paintings, drawings, music video, or any other output in a different format:

b. Emailing your output.

i. Log in to Gmail using your provided NTC email address.

ii. Click .

iii. Type your professor’s email address or name in the To field. Select
the right one from the available options.

iv. Add details to the email subject and body.

v. Click the button and locate the file you created.

vi. Click the button to send the email.
