General ‘The Aero-Guard System is used to reduce the CO, contents in compressed breathing air_It quarantees to reach a value within the required max. CO concentration of 500 ppmV ac- cording to DIN/EN 12021, even on sites where this value is a- ‘eady exceadod in the surrounding ar. ‘The carbon-dioxide absorber binds the CO, by a chemical re- ‘action before it enters the intake of the compressor. ‘Aeto Guard can be mounted to every compressor modo, ‘where itis placed nextto the compressor and connected tothe intake maniold ofthe compressor by means ofa sutably sized hose. To connect the system to a BAUER compressor unit, a variety of specialy designed hoses, adaptors, and feed {through bushings for sound-proof compressors (0.9. the Verticus 6), are available as optional extras. Please absorve thatthe maximum lengths of the hoses under no circumstances ‘must be exceeded, the hose diameter must not be amaller than indicated inthe drawing Before taking the fier ino operation, the reservoir has to be ‘lod with 10 ters of water, anc one water starlzation tablet wl bo added, About every two months a new tablet should be ‘added, because the od one would lose its effectiveness. For this purpose, 10 water steriization tabets for 10 | oa. are pro vided with every fter cartidge . During oeration, the carbon dioxide contents of the alr being taken in by the compressor willbe reduced to approx. 1/B ofthe ‘original value ofthe air. ‘When the fier fetime is expired, the fit carrie has to be ‘changed. The lifetime varies according to the detvery ofthe ‘compressor. The water fiingin the reservoirhasto be changed with every fiter cartridge change as well and replaced by 10 ers of fresh water. 12. Authorized use ‘The unitis buit according to state of the art technology and es- tablished safety technical regulations.
