 Mother states that “My breasts are too sore to breastfed”
 Client has breastfed last 2 days every 3-4 hours, 10 mins each breast
 Breasts firm, filling, nipples protuberant.
 Infant alert and sucks well.
 chief complaint of ineffective breastfeeding due to breast soreness.

For presenting:
In this study, the student nurses focused on the cause of ineffective breastfeeding and the
necessary nursing interventions that can be executed to prevent breast soreness and to provide
proper breastfeeding teachings to the mother, as well as newborn care to avoid possible
complications.
